Am I unique? Do I have a purpose? A conversation on passion, temperament, our beautifully complex personalities, and finding freedom through the Enneagram.
Our life’s calling is a wild and wondrous thing. Over the past 50 years, the Enneagram – a personality typing tool with roots in ancient wisdom traditions – has emerged as a powerful means of illuminating the path of self knowledge and purpose. This month, CAMPFIRE welcomes two inspiring, Enneagram experts – Carrie Kirkpatrick + Pauline Towers-Dykeman of Freedom Finders – for a conversation about this exciting tool as a means of accessing greater freedom, insight, and wisdom.
From the Freedom Finders’ website: “The Enneagram is a powerful tool for finding freedom through understanding the human personality. It describes in rich detail 9 distinct ways of seeing the world that drive our habits of emotion and thought. We have each come into the world with one of these 9 viewpoints, referred to as Enneagram Types, which gets reinforced and overused. Through understanding, awareness, and ownership of what we repeatedly do, we can create an Inner Observer that honestly reveals the box in which we have unwittingly put ourselves. Self development practices grounded in Enneagram awareness and refined by a multitude of master teachers provide a roadmap for how to find our way out of our unique box.”
