43rd Annual India Day Parade 2025: The world's largest India Day celebration returns to New York City, presented by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), commemorating India's independence with a spectacular three-day festival of culture, tradition, and community. This historic event, organized by one of America's oldest and largest non-profit grassroots organizations, brings together the vibrant Indian diaspora across the Northeast United States for an unparalleled celebration of Indian heritage and achievements.
Highlights:
The 2025 parade features Indian film superstars Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna as Co-Grand Marshals, leading this magnificent procession down Madison Avenue. This year's celebration introduces a groundbreaking partnership with Cricmax Connect, highlighting cricket's return to the Olympics and establishing the sport in mainstream America. The three-day extravaganza begins with the iconic Empire State Building illuminated in India's tricolor, followed by the traditional flag hoisting at Times Square, and culminates with the grand parade featuring dozens of floats, marching bands, cultural performances, and international contingents from Guyana, Mauritius, and Réunion Island. The celebration includes a Food Fest with traditional delicacies, 18 youth performances centered around wellness themes, the popular city-wide Gol Gappa Competition, and concludes with an elegant Independence Gala at Cipriani Wall Street featuring New York's longest Instagram-worthy dessert table.
