Servicemembers PCS-ing to MCAS Iwakuni are required to have a sponsor to assist them with their transition. To comply with that requirement, it is mandatory for all uniformed sponsors to attend this class prior to carrying out their duties as a sponsor.
The information covered in this training is of outmost importance because sponsors help newcomers settle into their new duty station by providing up-to-date information and available resources.
