With that in mind, we follow basic (but very important!) food safety measures that will be given at each class.
There will be leftovers! Please bring a take-out container from home, as well as an apron and kitchen towel.
If you must cancel, please contact us at least 72 hours before the event. This allows us to accurately shop for ingredients needed for the class. You will receive a refund for your ticket minus the Eventbrite fee.

JAS Cooking Class – July Edition: A Taste of India! This month, we’re heading to the bustling kitchens of India — where spices bloom, curries comfort, and warm bread is ready to tear and share. Join the Japanese American Society Iwakuni for a rich, aromatic evening of Mughlai-inspired flavors and hands-on fun.
Aaj Ka Zaika — What’s on the Table?”
Chicken Curry – A bold, comforting dish made with a homemade curry powder blend you’ll create yourself. Spiced, savory, and deeply satisfying.
Roomali Roti – A soft, supple flatbread from the royal Mughlai tradition. Cooked over an inverted pan and perfect for scooping up rich curry.
Basmati Rice – Light, fragrant, and perfectly steamed in the Zojirushi rice cooker — the ideal pairing for your curry masterpiece.
Expect spice stories, hands-on techniques, and the kind of warmth only home-style Indian food can bring. Come curious — and leave full of flavor. Namaste— and see you at the table!
