The heart of The Street Store, is to spend a day in the community, treating people with love and dignity, allowing them to shop for clothes or other items without money. We work closely with the community leaders of Tembisa and Clayville to ensure that we reach the areas where the need is the greatest. Midstream Methodist Food Packs will also be distributed on the day.
Five ways you can get involved:
1. Drop off clean gently worn clothes, shoes, toys and books at the various drop-off points in Midstream
2. Be part of the sorting events taking place in different spaces 1 week before the Street Store - details will be published on our Midstream social media pages.
3. Join the MMC Street Store Food Pack event on 24 May at the Midstream Methodist Church. Call them on 012 940 9301.
4. Contribute financially towards the MMC Food Pack:
R100 =55 meals
R200= 110 meals
R500 =275 meals
