THE ISLIP SUMMER KICKOFF ON MAIN STREET!!!
They're "closin' the road" once again for the Annual Islip Street Fair on Main Street on Sunday, June 22, from 11am to 6pm.
This "robust" community event — once again hosted by the Islip Chamber of Commerce — is "the perfect annual stroll" where residents and visitors can reacquaint themselves with Islip's wonderful downtown shops & restaurants along the QUARTER-MILE LONG fair route stretching from South Bay Avenue to Smith Avenue.
The Street Fair fosters a genuine sense of community pride that is heightened by all the fun features the Chamber has added, which include:
• Our GIANT CRAFT & VENDOR BAZAAR!
Artisans & merchandise vendors will lineup back-to-back as far as the eye can see offering up their one-of-a-kind creations and wares, including: Handmade Jewelry; Custom-Embellished Women's Clothing; Hand Crafted Soaps; Handmade Wooden Signs, Cutting Boards & Crafts; Painted Glassware; Toys; Pickles; Pretzels, and so much more!
• Our MAGNIFICENT KIDS FUNZONE!
Courtesy of NY PARTY WORKS, we will feature a bevy of inflatable SLIDES, BOUNCERS and OBSTACLE COURSES for the kids to have a hoppin' good time!
• The LI BITES FOOD TRUCK RUMBLE!
From LI BITES, Long Island's premier producer of popup food truck events, will rally in 12 of LI's best food trucks, including: Island Empanadas, The Cone Depot (popcorn shrimp & chicken in a waffle cone), The Filthy Pig (BBQ), Señor Burger, Say Dipped (chocolate-drenched berries and everything!), First Class Roasted Corn & Lemonade, Aguas Frescas (12 varieties of mocktails, tropical drinks & coffees), and much more!
• SOULS ON BOARD performing LIVE on the new LI FAIRS MOBILE STAGE!!!
• THE NEW YORK ISLANDERS SLAPSHOT BOOTH! Kids take shots at a giant inflatable goal brought to the Islip Street Fair courtesy of the New York Islanders. Free giveaways include key chains, sunglasses and lanyards.
• FACE PAINTING, ALL-DAY DEEJAY, RAFFLES and SO MUCH MORE!
Admission to the fair is free. The event is rain or shine (no rain date).
VENDORS ARE WELCOME! Vendor applications are EXCLUSIVELY AVAILABLE at www.LIFAIRS.COM. Registration is BY MAIL ONLY. Please do not accept applications from any other party on Facebook or elsewhere.
