Harriman State Park W**d Spray Day

Harriman State Park will be hosting a Spray Day Event on Wednesday, August 13, starting at 8:30 AM at the Osborn Day Use Area.
Volunteers will help by pulling or digging invasive weeds in the targeted area between junctions 12 and 22. This will involve a short hike, and parking will be available at the cow/horse/sheep barn for easier access. Park staff will guide participants to the site after the morning meeting.

What to bring:

Shovels and gloves

Water and any other personal supplies

Comfortable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear

The park will provide trash bags and will collect them later in the day. Lunch (usually burgers and hot dogs) will be provided for participants—details will be shared during the morning briefing.

If you would like to participate, please let me know by ASAP so I can provide the park with a head count.

This is a great chance to support invasive species control and connect with others in our community who care about protecting local habitats.
