We’re thrilled to officially partner with TRE (Trinity Railway Express) for Chapter 2 of our Stories in Motion series, hosted by The Gathered Pages Society! 🚆📚

This exciting collaboration lets us take our love of 📖 books on the rails while exploring new places, supporting public transit, and creating unforgettable themed day trips with our community. Join us for a bookish adventure to Fort Worth as we celebrate American Cowboy Day with coffee, culture, cowboy-core fun, and a literary twist.

• 7:45 AM – Meet at Irving Heritage TRE Station
• 7:51 AM – Depart on TRE to Fort Worth
• 8:33 AM – Arrive at Fort Worth Central Station
• 8:45 AM – Take the Orange Line to Main & North Side Station
• 9:00 AM – Coffee + breakfast at Casa Azul Coffee ☕
• 10:30 AM – Depart for Stockyards
• 10:43 AM – Take Orange Line to Stockyards / North Side Station
• 10:48 AM – Arrive at the Fort Worth Stockyards
• 11:30 AM – Catch the iconic Cattle Drive, then explore:

• 1:00 PM – Regroup at the bus stop
• 1:19 PM – Bus back downtown and walk over to the bookstore.
• 2:00–3:00 PM – Visit Barber’s Bookstore – the oldest bookstore in Texas
• 3:00 PM – Walk to Picchi Pacchi Pizzeria for slices + chill 🍕 This final stop is a special homage to our Book of the Month! We’re closing out our Italian-inspired summer read with pizza or Italian food from their menu before heading home.

• 4:15 PM – Leave pizzeria + head to bus stop
• 4:33 PM – Bus to Fort Worth Central Station
• 4:52 PM – Board the 🚊 TRE train back to Irving
• 5:30 PM – Arrive at Irving Heritage Station
