Starting February 7 Go see the free Black art exhibit showing at Irving Arts Center as a way to support Black History Month REFLECTION & INSPIRATION: ANNUAL BLACK HISTORY MONTH EXHIBITION PRESENTED BY IRVING BLACK ARTS COUNCIL
Each year in honor of Black History Month, the Irving Black Arts Council presents their Black History Month Exhibition. In this group show, seven talented artists – Latrice Cooper, Glenda Freeman, Desiree Griffith, Quel Hynson, Shonda L. Ross, Madison Smith, and Nii Narku Thompson – address the theme “Reflection & Inspiration.” Through a variety of artistic mediums, their art inspires historical reflection, highlighting African American perseverance and achievement.
Reception: A reception celebrating this exhibition will be held on February 7 from 5-7PM. The reception is free to attend.
Gallery Hours: Tues-Sat from noon to 5PM
Irving Arts Center’s galleries are open for viewing free of charge during regular gallery hours Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5 PM.
