Salsa from the Fox Valley!
Salsa Manzana is a traditional Latin music ensemble based out of Appleton, Wisconsin. Founders, Carlos Mendez and Mark Te Tai have been entertaining crowds since 2012. With Carlos’ authentic Puerto Rican heritage and Mark’s long-standing relationship with the local music community, the two assembled a band of top musicians from Oshkosh to Green Bay.
The 12-piece band features some of the Fox Valley’s premier musicians. Through local events such as Appleton's Octoberfest, Fox Jazz Festival, and Oshkosh's Waterfest, they help grow the Fox Valley's growing culture of diversity. The events Salsa Manzana performs vary from multi-cultural festivals, charity fundraisers, and educational school events to Cinco de Mayo celebrations, Latin-flavored weddings, and quinceañeras.
Salsa Manzana enjoys entertaining and educating audiences throughout all Northeastern Wisconsin by promoting Salsa, Mambo, Merengue, Cha Cha, Bachata, Bolero, Latin Jazz. We hope you can see us soon!
Says the band about their return to the Braumart stage this summer:
"The Braumart is one of our favorite places to play. There will be a mini-workshop for salsa dancing just before we start!"
