In collaboration with SPARK Ipswich festival, The Salty Sirens are heading the 'Rainbow Takeover' of Banshees Bar & Artspace, bringing a night of sapphic sea shanties and queer pop-punk with feature band The Soft Cunts.

Lovers of swell sea shanties and rollicking singalongs, The Salty Sirens are Kristy "Capstanfield" (vocals and accordion) and Elyse "Fishpatrick" (vocals and whale facts). Since 2021, they've been rocking boats the country wide with their flavour of sea shanties, SHE shanties and sea songs with a modern, queer twist. Now these sapphic sailors are sailing into Ipswich to help open SPARK Ipswich festival with a raucous night of nautical folk song, tales of daring adventure, defiance, debauchery and queer joy! Hoist the anchor and limber up those sea legs - these really aren't your grandpa's sea shanties!

The Salty Sirens are proud to present their queer pop-punk mateys, The Soft Cunts! The Soft Cunts are the queer pop-punk band you wish you grew up with. Low spoons and high intensity, they embody queer joy as resistance.Their message? In a hard world, be a Soft Cunt.

Please note ticket prices on the door will be $20/$25 (unwaged/waged) to encourage pre-sales. This helps the artists to plan their events!
