There’s no better excuse to explore Cedar Point—the western-most part of the Crane Estate—than a hike at sunset. This two-hour adventure in a lesser-known part of the property has it all…

· A stroll through the beautifully manicured gardens of the Great House

· A hike down the Woodland Trail leading to Steep Hill Beach

· A walk along the Crane Estate’s “other beach” where, if the tide is right, you’ll glimpse the remains of a 100+ year old shipwreck

· A hike through sand dunes overlooking the mouth of the Ipswich River and the southern tip of Plum Island

Best of all, you’ll wrap up your adventure with a hike along the Cedar Point Trail at sunset overlooking the tidal estuary of Fox Creek as it meanders through a supremely beautiful stretch of The Great Marsh—New England’s largest salt marsh.
