Join Team Taylor Tot in the Walk for CMT. My journey with CMT started when I was just 2 years old and the doctors could not figure out why I was struggling to walk and by the time I finally could something still wasn't quite right, they ran just about every test in the book and it wasn't until the age of 5 that I was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy but even then they couldn't quite figure out what kind. By the age of 8 I was diagnosed with CMT 1A which unfortunately was a misdiagnosis which wasn't discovered until after a surgery that was supposed to help but ultimately accelerated the progression of my disease to the recovery time. It wasn't until almost a year later when I finally got to meet Dr. Shy that I was given a diagnosis of CMT 1E (after just 1 day of seeing him!) I am now almost 23 years old and feel like I have lived a lifetime and a half after all of the adventures and amount of people I have met along the way on my journey with CMT.
