Theme: Beginnings

Come along to the inception of the Inverness Storytelling Club at Roots Cafe in Inverness on Sept 23rd.
Storyteller, Owen Pilgrim, myself, has been helping to organise the Dundee Storytelling Club, Blether Tay-gither, since 2007. I recently relocated to the Inverness area with hopes to join to the local storytelling club, only to find that there isn't one. So I've decided to set the ball rolling.
We'll begin with the theme of Beginnings. But any tale will do, don't worry about it being on theme. Storytelling clubs focus on the oral tradition of storytelling, the spoken word. These can be traditional stories, anecdotes, newly created tales, historical stories, legends, or anything else that focuses on oral telling, rather than the written word.
This is a club for adults to come together & share stories in a welcoming & warm atmosphere.
Suggested donation: £5.
