Due to popular demand, the music events promoting local singers-songwriters, bands, and music acts are coming back to your local parks. This year we will be hosting free/non-ticketed events for all ages and musical tastes. These relaxed music sessions are designed to bring live music back to our communities and create opportunities for shared experiences in our neighbourhoods.
With Music Encounters you will reconnect with your neighbours, revisit your local park, and rediscover your taste in music. So, join us solo, with friends or family, and enjoy good time in good company! No booking required.
The Port Edgar Marina programme includes:
1pm Ketu - a genre-blurring world fusion music collective, weaving Indian classical sitar and tabla, Middle Eastern motifs, jazz piano, funk bass, and Scottish folk viola into one bold, electrifying sound.
1.45pm Liam Baker - influences include late 20th century pop and rock, music from the folk revival, Jazz standards, west end musicals, and modern classical music.
2.15pm Lone Bear Blues -plays early blues and country ragtime on resonator guitar, harmonica and blues harp.
3pm Los Chichanos Latin Fiesta! - wild syncopated Latin rhythms, surf-inspired guitar, vintage organ and Latin vibes, bringing pumping fiesta of Jungle Cumbia
