Diving Into Deepwater author talk

The High Country Writers Group is an informal gathering of wordsmiths who meet at High Country Books bookshop within 'The Makers Shed' in Deepwater. Participants from Inverell, Glen Innes, Bingara, Grafton, Ashford and Deepwater started to write 300-word responses to a prompt, one word or a short phrase selected at random from the bookshop shelves. In 2025, High Country Books published the book.
Join three of these authors - Narelle Farnance, D'Arcy Lloyd and Barbara Maxwell - in conversation with Manager, Library Services Sonya, for a free author talk to hear about the creation of this book. There will be short readings, audience Q&A, book singings and book sales. 10% of 'Diving into Deepwater' sales are donated to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
