TERETONGA 10KM: We are very excited to host this years Southland Road Champs at Teretonga Park Raceway, on what we hope will be a fast and safe course for all our runners and walkers to test themselves on.
This event is open to everyone, and we welcome runners and walkers who are not registered with a Southland Athletics Club to enter. For the young ones, we offer a fun 2.5km (one lap) around Teretonga. For everyone else we have a 5km (2 laps) or 10km (4 laps) option. There is also a School Team option, 10km for 2-4 runners.

RACE DATE/TIME: Saturday 16 August, 2025. All races will start at 2pm. Check In will open at 1pm. Please arrive early to check in, warm-up and review the course.

CATEGORIES: Registered Club Athletes please enter your appropriate age group. Juniors and Seniors, age as of December 31st 2025. Masters, age on the day. Example: Alex turns 14 on October 25th, because he will be 14 before the end of the year he will be in the under 16 category.
For all Non Registered/Social/Community Athletes, please choose from the "Open (not registered with a club)" options when filling out the registration info. All entrants go into the spot-prize draws. For School Team entries, please enter the gender of you team or select Mixed Team if both Boys and Girls are in the same team, enter the youngest runners Date of Birth, add your runners first names in the 'First Name' box and your school name in the 'Last Name' box. DISTANCES: Race distances are set with consideration of standard NZ Champs distances and recommended race distances according to Athletics Southland's Running Distance vs Age Policy. Subject to final confirmation these are currently:

RACE INFORMATION: Races will be held under Athletics Southland & Athletics NZ Rules. Championship titles will be awarded to Athletics Southland registered competitive athletes. Please ensure you are registered with your club. Club uniforms are to be worn.
PRIZEGIVING: Prizegiving and afternoon team will be held following the completion of the races.
