Jim Cooper Live

Raised in Riverton, based in Queensland, Jim Cooper went from humble beginnings playing with The Courtelles in Invercargill in the early 1960s to carving out an impressive international music career over several decades.

As a singer/songwriter/entertainer he gained attention in the United States in the early 1970s with his single Quicksand, and later released three albums and 10 singles for a Sydney recording label. He has worked as a professional session musician, sound engineer and musical director for a host of international acts and is still recording and entertaining.

Jim is a consummate professional and a hell of a nice guy, and is always happy to play a gig when he returns home to Southland.
