Hohman Performance Horses Ranch Team to start again in 2026!
We had such a great time when we held ranch practices in the past and are excited to start back up!
2026 will be a little different than the previous year.
🐴 The biggest change which will likely make the team a little smaller (for now 😀) is I will not be providing my lesson horses to use (unless you lease one currently thats ranch suitable). Unfortunately, I found using them while they still had typical lesson loads was a bit to much for them.
🐴 Therefore you will need your own horse, lease horse, or the couple of people that already lease from my program. Haul-ins are absolutely encouraged for practices and lessons!
🐴 Unless we have zero people interested in going we will plan to attend 3 or 4 of the Ranch Horse Association of Michigan shows. Coaching fees will apply if you chose to be coached at the shows. You do not have to attend shows to be apart of the practicing team!
🐴 We will hold practice two times a month instead of weekly. You are more than welcome to schedule more lessons with me the off weeks but not required to participate. Haul-in horses need to provide coggins and vaccination report.
🐴 We are hoping to get a mechanical cow, plus I would love to find some opportunities out and about for cow practice.
🐴 In the past we had some roping practices that I will plan to incorporate.
🐴 We will practice/ discuss all the ranch events at the shows.
❗️Shows start May 8th 2026 so we can plan our first two practices April 13th, 2026 and April 27th, 2026.
