It's been a couple of years, but we will be back at Newfields for their Free First Thursday event in August! Admission is free all day until 8pm (except for The Lume)!
IMPORTANT: Since the museum is allowing us to bring our sketching supplies (approved materials are listed below) in their galleries and grounds, we will need a head count of how many participants will be attending. All attendees will be wearing a special sticker so museum staff know that we are there to sketch! With that said, PLEASE RSVP if you're planning on going that evening! If you're bringing someone without a Facebook account and they want to sketch, please let us know as well.
APPROVED MATERIALS: Graphite, colored pencils, ink, gouache, and watercolor. All surfaces for sketching must be in a sketchbook, no exceptions. All bags brought in galleries must be equal to or less 11 x 15 x 6 inches. You may bring a chair or stool, but please make sure your position does not interfere with visitor movement. As much as possible, please limit your supplies to a minimum. Urban sketching is a compact art anyway. :)
PARKING: There is free parking, both at the surface lot and garage.
Due to the timing and nature of this month's meetup, there will be no post-social meetup.
