Elijah Norwood is a dynamic, award-winning facilitator and consultant specializing in arts integration, wellness, and intergenerational engagement. For over a decade, he has used the power of rhythm and community drumming to enhance well-being, creativity, and connection across a wide range of settings—including senior centers, libraries, museums, corporate environments, and public institutions.

As a recipient of multiple Creative Aging grants, Elijah designs and leads transformative workshops tailored specifically for older adults, fostering joy, connection, and vitality through music and movement. He is the founder and lead facilitator of IndyROL (Indianapolis Rhythms of Life), a dedicated percussion ensemble made up entirely of older adults. This group meets regularly and performs alongside Elijah during his workshops, proving that artistic expression and vitality can thrive at any age.

His work has reached communities through partnerships with municipalities, public health departments, police departments, schools, and cultural institutions, demonstrating the unifying and restorative power of drumming. Elijah is also known for his mural “Take A Stand”, created during the 2020 protests and later featured in the Indiana State Museum’s exhibition RESPONSE: IMAGES AND SOUNDS OF A MOVEMENT, highlighting his commitment to arts and social change.

Whether leading creative aging residencies, team-building sessions, or keynote presentations, Elijah brings passion, professionalism, and a deep belief in the healing potential of rhythm for all stages of life.
