Jay Wasson provides strategic leadership for Purdue’s capital initiatives and safety services. He oversees departments responsible for physical facilities and public safety, ensuring the university's mission of learning, discovery, and engagement is supported.

His responsibilities include identifying, prioritizing, and executing the capital program and related services such as campus planning, asset management, construction, and strategic facilities management. Additionally, Jay oversees public safety functions, which encompass police, fire, and emergency preparedness services to ensure the security of the campus community.

Jay is committed to creating organizational value by supporting people, ensuring service delivery excellence, managing finances responsibly, and fostering effective communication. His dedication to Purdue’s mission is shaped by his experiences as a Purdue student, employee, and parent.
