Dawning ICC Concert

What is old becomes new again as our high school division performs movements from three major works that take two-thousand-year-old texts and set them to increasingly modernized musical styles. Singers will bring to life the new imaginings of Ola Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass and Gospel Mass by Robert Ray and will juxtapose them with a classical mass written hundreds of years ago. Although music continues to develop and change some things will always remain timeless and this journey through time with our talented young musicians will beautifully demonstrate the light reaching towards a new day and what’s to come.
