Join IAA’s remarkable artist, Beth Wheeler, for a day of plein air acrylic painting at the beautiful Memorial Park in downtown Indiana. You will be working with acrylic paint, and she will discuss a variety of techniques, composition, and color. Her instruction is tailored to each individual’s interest and goals.

When, where, and how much?
This class will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 10am to 4pm, with a lunch break from Noon to 1pm, at Memorial Park (630 Washington St., Indiana, PA).
The cost is $50 for IAA Members and $65 for non-members.
The deadline to sign up is September 5, 2025. No refunds will be issued after this date.

Acrylic Paints - Beth suggests Liquitex Heavy Body
Colors:
Yellow-Cadmium and/or Hansa
Yellow Ochre
Red - Cadmium and Alizarin Crimson
Burnt Sienna
Blue - Cobalt and Ultramarine
White
Optional Colors - Hooker’s Green and Payne’s Gray
Several sizes of oil/acrylic brushes-flat and round
Additional supplies to bring:
(2) Canvases or Canvas Boards (whatever size you want)
Easel
Water
Container to dispose used water
Paper Towels
Pencil
Sketchbook
Lunch
Chair
Hat
Sunscreen

About Beth Wheeler:
Beth is an Indiana artist, IAA Board member, a recent graduate of IUP with an MFA in painting, and she is the current manager of the Fox Clark Gallery in Indiana, Pa. She also holds a MA in Art History from WVU and has lived, worked, and studied art in France and Italy. Beth paints mostly landscapes in oils, focusing on the spirituality of nature. She recently exhibited a series of local landscapes in miniature. She also enjoys experimenting with a range of other subjects and media. She is passionate about sharing her love of art with others through education for adults and children.
