Tales to Tails*

Children of all ages are invited to boost their reading skills and make a furry new friend by reading aloud to Shakespeare, a certified therapy dog from the Independence Fire Department.

Shakespeare has passed both obedience and temperament tests and receives regular veterinary care, making him a perfect, patient listener for young readers.

Private 15-minute reading sessions are available between 5:30 and 7:00 PM at the library.

*Advance registration is required, and a signed parental consent form must be submitted before participating.
