Don’t know how to play Cribbage? There will be folks on hand that can teach you!

The second Wednesday night of every month is also Trivia Night hosted by Women of Independence/Monmouth. So, you can test both your Cribbage AND trivia skills all at the same time.

Created by Sir John Suckling (unfortunate surname), Cribbage has been around since the 1630s and is a modification of an earlier Tudor era game called Noddy. It is a card game that uses a standard deck of 52 cards and peg board for scorekeeping. Players race to 121 points. Cribbage is primarily a 2-player game but is easily adapted for 3 and 4 players. Points are scored for cards adding to 15, for pairs, runs of 3 or more, 4 and 5 card flushes, and during card play for the last to play a card and/or reach 31.
