It’s the 1880s in Bavaria. King Ludwig II is ruling. He is also known as der Märchenkönig, or The Fairy Tale King. Most consider him quite mad. Largely, this is due to his propensity to construct extravagant and very expensive castles. His first construction,Neuschwanstien, you might recognize as it is the inspiration behind the Disney Castle.
Castles of Mad King Ludwig is a medium complexity tile-laying game,
published by Bezier Games, for 2-4 players, and plays in about 90 minutes.
The Mad King has commissioned another castle. You and your fellow
architects are competing to design the perfect castle and win the King’s
favor. But his whims are many and your designs must meet his exacting,
but ever-changing requirements.
