Setting the Foundation – Mind, Body, Spirit & the Sattvic State

(Online Session – Monday, 10/7 at 5-6:30pm) Platform TBD

We’ll begin our journey with a rich, introductory online session that explores the profound connection between the mind, body, and spirit through the lens of the five elements, the chakras, and the three gunas—the mental/spiritual qualities that shape our state of being.

Our focus for this session will center on Sattva, the guna of clarity, truth, and harmony. Sattva represents purity, balance, peacefulness, and alignment with higher purpose (Dharma) and deep self-knowledge (Jñāna). It is the quality that draws us inward—toward healing, wholeness, and the light of awareness.

This session will open the circle for dialogue, reflection, and Q&A, offering a chance to ground ourselves in the philosophy and energetics of self-care before we step into the immersive weekend experience.

Day One (in person) will begin with practices to center and align: meditation, pranayama (breath work), and bija mantras (vocal sound healing). We’ll also explore a variety of self-care rituals designed to amplify the flow of light and vitality through your physical, mental, and spiritual bodies.

We’ll also begin an exploration of the elements and their energetic signatures, along with how they relate to the gunas, the chakra system, and the holistic terrain of spirit, mind, and body. We’ll touch on key principles such as The Power of Presence and Sympathetic Resonance, which we’ll continue to deepen when we meet in person.

Our daily journey will deepen into the principles of presence and effortless effort—learning how to be fully here, without strain. A central focus will be the gentle, clarity-inducing hands on healing practice known as the Sattva Balancing Session, as taught in Joaquin’s book, The Human Touch – Light of the Elements, Body and Mind. This practice is accessible to anyone ready to explore the healing potential of mind, heart, and hands. Joaquin will guide you and your partner step-by-step through the process. Afterward, we’ll hold space for a reflective check-in, followed by a nourishing lunch break—then roles will reverse, so both partners receive.

Day Two will continue this rhythm, inviting us to go deeper into the energy body. We’ll use bija mantras to activate and elevate kundalini energy, supporting the clearing and awakening of the chakra system. We’ll also explore the three primary nadis—Sushumna, Ida, and Pingala—and how these energetic pathways influence vitality and inner balance.

Our philosophical discussions will expand further into the subtle ways the chakras shape our psychology, physiology, and spiritual growth. In the afternoon, we’ll once again return to the Human Touch session, refining our sensitivity and presence.

To close our time together, we’ll gather in a circle among the trees, sharing Cedar Tea harvested from the meadow where we’ve been learning—integrating our experience in connection with the land, each other, and ourselves.
