We’ll focus on the essential finishing steps that bring clarity, polish, and resolution to your work after firing. Through surface refinement, troubleshooting, and close attention to detail, you’ll learn how to prepare and present your finished pieces with confidence.

We’ll cover:

Grinding, sanding, and polishing techniques for smoothing surfaces and foot rings
Addressing common post-firing issues such as cracks, glaze defects, and surface flaws
Epoxies and adhesives for reinforcing finished work
Best practices for packing and shipping ceramics safely
Tips for photographing your pieces for portfolios or sales
