Event Details
It's a superb 6.9 mile trail race with spectacular views over the Wharfe Valley and across to Ilkley Moor.
An out-and-back route with 810 feet of climbing (FRA category CM), on tracks, through woodland, fields and moors, interspersed with some short road sections.
There will be a water station at around 2 miles and also water available at the finish. The start is a 5 minute walk from the Lido to the unadopted section of road at the bottom of Curly Hill, with the finish back at the Lido.
Main information
Time: The senior race will start at 11.30am on Bank Holiday Monday 26th May 2025. Please arrive in good time to pick up your number from the race registration, which will open at 10:15 and close at 11:15.
Runners must be aged 18 or over.
Kit requirements: As the race is being licenced by the FRA, runners should make themselves aware of the FRA kit requirements for this CM category race - we will also update everyone in the days beforehand.
Headphones: As there are some road sections headphones, or similar devices, (unless medically prescribed) are not permitted.
Course: Virtually all of the climb is on the way out, but runners will be reinvigorated by the views over the Wharfe Valley and across to Ilkley Moor ahead of a lovely downhill finish. See the course map here.
Location: The Race HQ will be at the Ilkley Lido. OS Map Grid Ref: SE118484, nearest postcode LS29 0BZ. The race HQ is only a 10 minute walk from Ilkley Train & Bus stations.
Entry fees: £13 in advance, £16 on the day.
Prizes: First three men and women overall and vet prizes male and female from V40 in five-year bands to V70, kindly sponsored by Complete Runner.
