The Ilkeston Heritage and Classic Vehicle Show is set to take place in the heart of the town centre for the 11th time.
The free event, organised by Erewash Partnership Events and sponsored by local businesses, promises to showcase an "impressive" array of vehicles, including classic cars, motorbikes, buses, lorries and steam engines. Local dealerships, specialists, local charities and classic vehicle owners are encouraged to register and participate, as registration is now open.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore numerous exhibits, meet industry professionals, and enjoy a range of family-friendly activities throughout the day.
2025 will see the return of “Hissing Sid”, a 27-litre Hispano Suiza V12, known as ‘Sid’ for its characterful hissing after a fast run. This car is a faithful recreation of the 1920s land speed record cars, based on a Hispano Suiza 27-litre Mb12 aero engine.
Big crowds turned out to see the Ilkeston Show in 2024. The Ilkeston Heritage and Classic Vehicle Show has become a popular event in the East Midlands for over a decade, showcasing some of the best vintage and classic vehicles from across the area. It also provides a platform for local businesses and car enthusiasts to connect.
For anyone interested in registering their vehicle for the event, you can visit the Erewash Partnership’s website. All classic vehicles (pre-2000 registration) and those of "special interest" are welcome.
More information can be found on the Erewash Partnership’s website.
