Join us for a presentation and exhibit display about Ilion’s history with the Erie Canal, and the larger impacts ‘canal fever’ had on NYS and the nation. Learn what the fascination was with westward expansion, and how suffrage, slavery, prohibition, Remington, and the Palatine German settlers all related to the Erie Canal in one way or another.
