Faces & Places Reading Group: "Filippo Brunelleschi"

Join us for our reading group, “Faces & Places” where we will discuss interesting lives and locations. May’s topic is Filippo Brunelleschi, a pivotal Italian Renaissance architect and engineer, most famous for designing and constructing the innovative dome of the Florence Cathedral. He is also credited with rediscovering the principles of linear perspective, which profoundly impacted the development of Renaissance art. Beyond architecture, Brunelleschi was an accomplished sculptor and goldsmith, showcasing his diverse talents. You are welcome to read any book on the subject, watch a DVD, or research any viable source. All are welcome. Zoom option available.
