We'd love for you to join us in welcoming our guest speaker, Michael Coats, Channel 8 Meteorologist.

Since 2006, Michael Coats has been forecasting the weather for KIFI Local News 8. Starting out first on the early morning newscast, then promoted to Chief Meteorologist in 2010.

Before Local News 8, Michael worked for KIFI's sister station in Palm Springs California. Michael is originally from Hemet, California. He attended California State University Northridge, then studied meteorology at Mississippi State University.

Michael and his wife have 4 children and a dog named Radar.
