Disney's Newsies

Based on the 1992 Disney film and inspired by true events, Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman and a book by Harvey Fierstein.

Set in turn-of-the-century New York City, Newsies tells the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy who dreams of a better life beyond the city. When publishing giants raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies a ragtag team of “newsies” to strike for what’s right. With help from a determined young reporter and his band of brothers, Jack takes on the most powerful men in New York in an inspiring fight for justice.
