Dear friends, after 5 years of beautiful coffee experiences at Gist, we feel we have enough to share with those of you who want to learn more about coffee. So we're starting a series of workshops called Sips & Tips to bring you closer to the world of specialty coffee, expand your knowledge and brew great coffee right at home.

— ALTERNATIVE BREWS —
Alternate Brews is a workshop for beginners in coffee brewing. In the course of 2 hours you will:
• learn about different coffee varietes and how climate, altitude, soil, processing and roasting affect the final result
• find out what specialty coffee is and why it matters
• dive deep into alternate brewing methods as we explain techniques for v60, Aeropress, French Press and so on.
• taste different origins brewed using a v60 and notice the differences in aromatic profiles, body, acidity & sweetness
• go hands on and prepare your own v60, on the spot
• receive a coffee from us, to enjoy at home

— How much does it cost? —
The participation fee is 120 lei. For now, payment is made at the time of the event or anytime before at the location. Just come on over and let our staff know that you have reserved a spot and give them your name.
— Who will hold the workshop? —
Our wonderful Mihaela Bucurel, barista at Gist, will guide you through the workshop.
— What language is the workshop in? —
The workshop is in Romanian. We will hold events this like in English in the future.
— What happens if I can't make it? —
