Kult of Dead is an Orthodox Depressive Black Metal band that blends elements of black metal with dark and provocative themes. The band addresses themes such as theistic satanism, criticism of religion, particularly the Orthodox Church, and openly expresses hatred toward its dogmas and abuses.
Their lyrics explore the harm caused by the Orthodox Churches, denouncing the corruption and hypocrisy of these institutions that hide behind the mask of spirituality. Elements of depression and alienation are strongly present, reflecting a disdain for religious and social norms, with their approach deepening into satanic symbolism as a response to a reality they deem corrupt and decayed.
Through their music, Kult of Dead offers a highly critical perspective on religion, serving as a form of sonic and intellectual protest against the power and manipulation of traditional societal institutions.
