Workshop on GOND ART

Gond art refers to the paintings created by the Pardhan Gonds, an indigenous group in Central India that resides near Madhya Pradesh.
Along with playing the Bana, a string instrument, the Pardhan Gond people's traditional activity was to sing invocations to the natural gods. Additionally, they served as the village storytellers, passing down their mythology and culture to the younger generation. The Gonds' habit of creating wall decorations for their homes as part of their everyday lives is where the art form first emerged.
Neha Jain, a versatile artist from Hyderabad, will lead a workshop on Gond Art on June 5 and 6, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the M. Eshwariah Art Gallery in Madhura Nagar, Hyderabad.
