Thea Iberall has been called ‘a shimmering bridge between heart and mind.’ Her writing springboards from the personal and historic into moral issues, scientific questions, and emotional truths. She was inducted into the International Educators Hall of Fame in 2015 along with her whole family. Thea’s poetry has been published in anthologies and journals including in Rattle, Spillway, poeticdiversity, Hummingbird Review, ONTHEBUS, Moon Tide Press, New Works Review, Blue Arc West, Southern California Anthology, Peregrine, and Blood to Remember: American Poets on the Holocaust. She invented a form of poetry called contextual poetry, which she demonstrates in her book, The Sanctuary of Artemis.Her ecofeminist novel, The Swallow and the Nightingale, is about a 4,000-year-old secret brought through time by birds. She is the playwright and screenwriter of We Did It For You! Women’s Journey Through History. She is a member of Northeast Storytelling and the Jewish Storytelling Coalition. Thea has a Master’s degree in Professional Writing from USC and a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from UMass.
Kashawn Taylor is a formerly incarcerated writer based in CT. He holds a BA in English and Psychology and an MA in English and Creative Writing, and is currently pursuing an MFA. His poetry, fiction, and essays have been or will be published by such journals and magazines as The Meadow, Lucky Jefferson, Oyster River Pages, The Shore Poetry, The Offing, Sequestrum, Miracle Monocle, Emergent Literary, and Poetry Magazine. Vivienne Shalom is the author of the chapbook The Truth Is published by Choefpleirn Press. The book won their Jonathan Holden Award for best first chapbook of 2023. Vivienne is a long-time committee member of Rozzie Reads Poetry. Two of her poems were published in Tell Tale Inkings #5. She was a winner of the Mayor’s annual Poetry Contest twice and her poems were read and displayed at City Hall. She is also the author of the children’s book, The Color of Things (Rizzoli, 1995). A former ESL teacher, graphic designer and welder, she is currently retired and active in the Roslindale community and the arts.
