Fraudy Martin Estrada Megret is 100% Cubano and brings passion, energy, and authenticity to every class. With deep Afro-Cuban roots and years of international performance and teaching experience, he offers an inspiring journey through the vibrant world of Cuban dance. Fraudy commenced his dance career with Ballet Folklorico Babul, a well-known and highly respected Afro-Cuban folkloric dance company where he trained and performed for six years.
He then moved to Havana to join Ban Rra Rra and became their principal dancer. Ban Rra Rra is the foremost and best known folkloric group in Cuba. They specialise in the religious and historical music and dances of the Oriente region in Cuba. Fraudy has toured regularly with the company performing at major venues throughout Cuba and internationally. He has also featured in many Cuban style instructional salsa videos / DVDs sold all over the world such as Mueve La Cintura and Salsa Suelta.
Based in Sydney, Fraudy has been running Havana Dance since 2014 — a school dedicated to teaching all Cuban styles, including Salsa, Rueda, Son, Rumba, and Afro-Cuban. His workshops are a rich blend of culture, technique, and infectious joy that leave dancers uplifted and inspired.
Hailing from Cuba, Michel Concepción-Mullings is a celebrated soloist. Originally from the iconic Afro-Cuban music and dance ensemble, Ban Rra Rra, Michel is a highly renowned dancer and performer, skilled in some of the most celebrated dances found in Cuba. We are so delighted to be hosting him for workshops again in Townsville.
