💙Visible Mending Workshop, December 18th 2-4pm
Come experience the therapeutic power of slow stitching with Bo Anselmo, our Expressive Arts intern from Lesley University.
Join our hands-on workshop focused on Sashiko and decorative patching techniques. Sashiko is a traditional Japanese stitching technique that can incorporate meditative practices.
You’ll learn how to stabilize, repair, and embellish clothing using beautiful, intentional stitching.
This is more than just fixing a hole—the intention is to engage in a meditative practice of transforming flaws into features while being creative in community.
Please bring your item (ripped clothes, scraps of material, etc.) to repair. If you don’t have materials—Needles, thread, and fabric will be provided.
No prior experience needed!
