Hi all--I have been watching and waiting for the weather to be perfect for papermaking and this Wednesday looks like the day! If you've done this before you know the drill--break up some paper (not magazine or newspaper) into 1" bits and soak overnight. If you have saved old daffodil, lily, or iris leaves, here's what to do.
Cut up small but not tiny--vary the sizes a bit. Soak in a bucket for at least 24 hours. I have plenty, by the way, so only do this if you really want to.
If you have dried some flowers or leaves, bring them along. They are fun to add to our paper. You may also want to add bits of ribbon or fabric or even beads. Bring what you want and we will figure out a way to use it.
I have all the tools, felts, etc. that we will need and you will take your paper home the same day to finish drying. Everyone should get a dozen or so sheets of paper.
Cost for the session is $35--we will begin at 10 and run until at least 2. We have covered areas to work in outdoors.
Bring your lunch--I will have drinks and fruit.
Please let me know if you will be joining us--space is limited.
