Join us on our beginners’ silver clay workshop to learn the basics of creating your own beautiful solid silver jewellery.
At the end of this workshop you will go home with a solid silver pendant necklace of your own creation, price includes full instruction, all findings (sterling silver chain, jump rings) and a gift box.
This workshop is aimed at those with no experience of working with silver clay.
Silver clay is made up of very fine particles of recycled pure silver, water and a non toxic binder. When your piece is fired, the binder burns away, leaving you with solid fine silver.
The process is truly magical!
Art Clay (99.9%) silver will be used during this workshop. Guided by your instructor you’ll make a beautiful solid silver pendant.
You will have access to a variety of different textures, texture mats, moulds and shapes, to create wonderful, unique pieces of jewellery. You will learn the process of making jewellery with silver clay from start to finish.
The first part of the session will be focusing on how to handle, roll, shape and texture it, before drying and refining.
The second part of the class will focus upon firing in the kiln, sanding and polishing before adding your finishing touches. You will also have access to sterling silver findings to finish your piece such as chain, jump rings, charms and gift box.
Your jewellery will be ready to take home with you at the end of the class.
Nibbles and a glass of Prosecco/Coffee/Tea/Soft Drink will be on hand throughout to fuel more creativity!
