HHS '75 Reunion Bash

Where the “Old School” Meets New School Joints (and Knee Braces)!

It’s been 50 years since we ruled the halls of Huron High—and now it’s time to rule the dance floor (or at least hover nearby with snacks). Whether you haven’t seen your classmates since graduation or just ran into them at Walmart, this is your once-in-a-half-century chance to reconnect, reminisce, and relive the fun, carefree days—before we start forgetting them entirely.

💥 Important Note: This is it, folks. We’re not planning another reunion (because let’s be honest, planning one in our 70s sounds exhausting). So don’t miss out—we want to see everyone there! Come as you are—gray hairs, bad jokes, and orthopedic shoes welcome!

Info: We know several classmates will arrive in Huron early, so we are having a pizza party at the Fire Pit Pizzeria (460 Dakota South - just south of the Post Office). From there, we will walk over to Thursday Night Music in the Park at the Band Shell.

Info: We’re starting the weekend off with a bang (and possibly a pulled-pork-induced food coma)! Beginning at 4 p.m., a shuttle will start hauling your fabulous selves from the Crossroads Hotel to Russ Layton’s Farm. No need to panic – the shuttle will make a couple of trips, or you can drive yourself.


Our very own Robbin Smidt will be manning the smoker, serving up mouthwatering shredded pork sandwiches and other tasty treats. Think of it as a delicious warm-up act for a night full of catching up and laughs.


There will be surprises. There will be laughter. There will be stories we haven't told for years.

Get ready to make new memories. The shuttles will start going back to the Crossroads starting at 9 pm, but we have a special surprise for you around 930pm for those that stay.

Info: After a full day of athletic overachieving (we’re looking at you, golfers, pickleballers, and nostalgic cyclists pedaling past your old houses like it’s a hometown tour), it’s time to clean up, hydrate, nap, and get ready to party like it’s 1975… but with better shoes and earlier bedtimes.


We kick things off at 5:30 PM with a Social Hour—then it’s dinner from 6:30–7:30 PM, where you’ll get a chance to refuel, rehydrate (yes, that includes wine), and rehash stories you swear actually happened.


Then—buckle up—our legendary Class President, Linda Johnson-Smith, will take the mic. She’s bringing her wit, charm, and possibly some embarrassing high school memories to keep the good times rolling.


And just when you think it can’t get any better… BAM! At 8:15 PM(ish), the Snoot Gibson Band hits the stage, ready to blast out the hits we slow-danced and rocked out to back in the day.


It’s gonna be a night of memories and moves that may or may not require ibuprofen on Sunday
