About the event

Saturday Spotlight: Homemade Ice Cream and Historic Remedies

Join the Sam Houston Memorial Museum and Republic of Texas Presidential Library this summer for Saturday Spotlights. Every Saturday, from June 14 – July 26, museum staff will be on the museum grounds from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a variety of programs for visitors to learn about life in the 19th century.

On Saturday, July 19 come learn how ice cream was made in the 19th century and how homemade medicines and remedies were produced.

**There is no charge for the activities on the museum grounds.
