HSDS Regional Teacher Workshop ft. the Pangburns & Wilkersons

The Huntsville Swing Dance Society is excited to host another Regional Teacher workshop! Our goal for this workshop is to help build up potential and current teachers in the Southeast by providing an opportunity for regional teachers to come together as a group to learn from world-renowned instructors who have a world of knowledge and experience of teaching.

Whether you're new to teaching dance or are looking to sharpen your skills, this workshop is for you! During our first session, you'll want to bring your lunch and a notebook as our instructors will be leading a Lunch & Learn discussion panel that will cover a variety of topics ranging from breaking down dance class structure to curriculum development to strategies for organizations. Our second session, you'll want to bring your dance shoes as we're going to be up and active while we stretch your teaching muscles! Our instructors will walk you through several exercises to practice class planning and execution, including skills such as language selection, movement demonstration, and individual and group troubleshooting.
