Grassroots Organizer & Leadership Development (GOLD) Summit

Lift Our Vote is a non-partisan movement serving to create a culture of voting in marginalized communities.

In partnership with Alabama, Association For The Arts and other community partners, Lift Our Vote will present the Grassroots Organizer & Leadership Development (GOLD) Summit on Friday, August 1, 2025 in Huntsville, Alabama. The GOLD Summit will aim to train 75-100 community organizers in leadership capacities working to increase Alabama‘s voter participation on Voter (Election) Days. GOLD Summit trained volunteers will be deployed to strengthen community relationships with year-round voter education and civic engagement to include voter verification, registration, restoration, information, and voter transportation services.

Selected partners have been invited to facilitate a one hour training during this one day summit of work sessions and lunch panel discussion.  A session schedule will be updated as partners confirm!

The GOLD Summit will culminate on Saturday, August 2, 2025 with AL Association for the Arts’ 5th annual Black Tie Gala, a formal fundraiser to support our mission to create a culture of voting through civics and arts! 

Any Summit donations collected will be used to offset expenses associated with the GOLD Summit and to aid with year round Voter services, volunteer recruitment, and grassroots training. Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
