Coffee and Conversation with Annie Hartnett
We’re thrilled to welcome Annie Hartnett to the South Huntsville Public Library! Join us for an engaging author talk and book signing in celebration of her newest release, The Road to Tender Hearts - plus enjoy coffee and muffins from Hatch Café.

Annie Hartnett is the author of The Road to Tender Hearts (Ballantine/Random House, 2025), which has earned starred reviews from Kirkus and Booklist. She is also the author of Rabbit Cake (Tin House, 2017) and Unlikely Animals (Ballantine/Random House, 2022). Unlikely Animals was named one of the best books of 2022 by The Washington Post and BookRiot and was long-listed for the Joyce Carol Oates Prize. Rabbit Cake was a Kirkus Reviews Best Book of 2017, a finalist for the New England Book Award, and long-listed for the Center for Fiction’s First Novel Prize.

Annie has received fellowships and residencies from the MacDowell Colony, Sewanee Writers' Conference, and the Associates of the Boston Public Library. She co-hosts the writing and parenting podcast Good Moms on Paper and co-runs Accountability Workshops for writers, supporting them in embracing the challenging and rewarding process of writing. Annie lives in Massachusetts with her husband, daughter, and dog.
