ADDITIONAL INFORMATION SPECIFIC TO *THIS* EVENT, AND MORE INFO IN EVENT DISCUSSION
Part of our ritual involves a community Free Market. Think a clothing swap, but with everything: books, plants, food, tools, art, kitchen items, unused spiritual items or magical tools…whatever! Please bring at least one item you want to give away that signifies your “harvest” this year - achievements, goals realized or progressed on, new beginnings, needed endings. There will be a time where we exchange our offerings, giving away what we no longer need, and accepting what we do. Any unclaimed items at the end of the day will be donated to local organizations, as appropriate. Please do not bring very large items (think anything that wouldn’t fit in the backseat of a car). Please only bring items in good condition, this is a symbol of your harvest after all!
* * * The CHARITY ITEM COLLECTION shall be for Kitsap Little Free Pantries.
LISTS of items needed will be posted in the EVENT DISCUSSION and in the CHALICE HART Page & various Groups
* * * Suggested donation is $5 per person. This money helps us to pay for all the supplies and for the halls during the colder months. No, halls are most definitely not free!
As usual, with a $5 donation you get a raffle ticket for our themed raffle prize. Additional tickets available for $1 each, or 6 for $5.
While we have a suggested donation, any amount is good, and NO-ONE will ever be turned away for not having a donation. It is just that, SUGGESTED, and we thank you for any and all support given.
* * * CARPOOLING is highly recommended due to limited parking at the ritual field. UNLESS YOU ARE PLANNING ON COMING EARLY TO HELP SET-UP, OR HAVE MOBILITY ISSUES, you will park in the designated areas by the house and barn, if the spaces at the ritual field are filled up.
* * * DO BRING your own REUSABLE PLACE-SETTING! HELP US STAY GREEN AND REDUCE OUR GARBAGE FOOTPRINT. We want & need to decrease our footprint on the environment. Bringing your own reusable / washable place setting (plate, bowl, silverware, cups) decreases the amount of garbage & recycling we have to haul to landfill and homes.
* * * Remember that events held at the Hansville site require children under the age of five (5) to wear a life jacket. The pond is deep, cold and murky. We have a few kiddie life jackets available for you to use, just ask!
* * * DO BRING food and drink to share for the feast. ENSURE YOUR FOOD IS READY TO EAT, as we are outdoors & there is no facility to do prep. Seasonally Appropriate Foods and Ingredients Include: Blackberries, bilberries, and blueberries, grapes, bread, barley, grains, potatoes, mushrooms, honey, peppers, sunflower seeds, corn, cinnamon, apples, tomatoes, peaches, plums, summer squash, and whatever is seasonal in your garden!
* * * DO BRING everything that you will need to keep you and yours happy and comfortable.
SUGGESTED are blankets, pillows, camp chairs, toys for kids, bug-spray/lotion, sunscreen, and layers of clothes, as it starts warm, then can get chilly there by the pond under the trees.
* * * Also very important: don't come to Ritual without adequate self-preparation! This means being adequately nourished, medical needs addressed, and rested.
