Get ready for an evening of rhythm, raw truth, and poetic energy at NGĀ ART as we host our annual Poetry Slam on National Poetry Day.
Whether you're a returning poet, a curious newcomer, or a passionate listener - this is your invitation. Step into a welcoming space where voices rise, stories are shared, and creativity connects us all.
If you've joined us before, we can’t wait to welcome you back. If you’ve never been, now is the time - this is your chance to be part of something unforgettable. Read your original spoken word or come along to listen and support. All ages and experience levels are welcome.
This is more than just a poetry competition. It’s a celebration of expression, community, and connection. It’s the chance to try something new, practice your craft, share your truth, or simply soak up the energy in the room.
Performers:
• Bring 3 original poems.
• All poets perform in the first round.
• Our judges will score each poem (highest and lowest scores are dropped).
• The top scorers move on to a second round after our featured performance.
• Sign up online or on the night.
Prizes:
• 1st Place: $200
• 2nd Place: $100
• 3rd Place: $50
Cash, vouchers, and some surprise goodies await.
